Kyle Balagno, President/Account Director
Kyle is owner and President of Myron Advertising + Design, a venerable 45-year-old advertising agency. 20 years after a successful transition with Myron Advertising + Design founder, Myron Balagno, Kyle continues to play a key role in strategic business and communication strategy development and execution for a wide range of institutional, corporate and retail clients. Kyle has helped some of BC’s most formidable organizations achieve key strategic goals including brand awareness and image enhancement.
Kyle has served on the Executive Committee for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s annual fundraising dinner – Rockin’ for Research, a landmark event. Kyle has also served on the JDRF National Marketing & Communications committee, providing direction on fundraising and communication initiatives, assisting the foundation is reaching new fundraising goals.
Peter Desmet, Senior Art Director
25+ years of professional experience as a designer and practicing artist are evidence of the passion that Peter has for the design process. Meticulous attention to the craft of typography and a rigorous approach to the technical and aesthetic aspects of form, colour and design, are all qualities that explain why clients value their relationship with Peter.
Peter’s success in the creative field is backed by extensive training and apprenticeships in various art and design disciplines. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art (Johannesburg, South Africa) and a Master of Arts degree and Diploma in graphic design (Lausanne, Switzerland). Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Peter lived for four years in Lausanne, Switzerland before settling in Vancouver during the early nineties. In his quest for life experience, enlightenment and creative enrichment, he has travelled extensively to the farthest corners of the earth. Peter brings that depth and breadth of experience to bear on every project.
Lisa Steinson, Senior Account Manager/Manager, Digital Projects
Lisa brings over 20 years of marketing and communications experience to our team and has applied her skills with us since early 2006. Lisa’s responsibilities on a day-to-day basis include outlining media strategies for various clients, negotiating media buys with relevant media outlets and overseeing the full execution of the plan.
Lisa also manages several of her own client accounts and is instrumental in the development and implementation of their varied communications materials; including digital and printed collateral, websites and email newsletters. Clients have come to rely on Lisa for her excellent customer service, attention to detail and quick problem solving for unique applications of graphics.
Leighton Balagno, Coordinator
As a coordinator, Leighton’s role focuses on supporting the Myron team and clients to achieve their communications goals in an efficient and detail-oriented manner.
Prior to joining the Myron Team, Leighton worked one-on-one with small business owners to execute creative approaches to marketing and graphic design. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from McGill University.
Through an attentive and comprehensive approach to project management, Leighton strives to amplify the client’s message, all the while balancing budgetary and time constraints.
Donna Beijor, Accountant
Donna provides transparent and responsible fiscal management for Myron’s day-to-day operations. She is also responsible for human resources and purchasing.
An important tool that Donna manages and the team at Myron Creative depends on daily, is proprietary software called Clients & Profits.
Chloe Balagno, CFO (Chief Furry Officer)
Chloe has been with the company for 4 years—that’s basically 30 in dog years. Her main responsibilities include managing client and employee relationships, mail inspection and carpet cleaning but Chloe is also known to serenade the office with her sweet, dulcet snores.
When not working like a dog, Chloe enjoys hikes around Capilano Canyon and chewing on her Kong. Always a go-getter, Chloe brings her infectious energy to every meeting. Just say “jump!” and Chloe’s response will always be “how high?”
